iPhone Photography Tips: Cropping

One of the more simpler yet important photo techniques you can use to improve your iPhone photography is cropping.  Cropping refers to including all the elements you want in your photo and excluding anything you don’t want.  Let’s go to example:

Crop out elements not improving your shot

At first glance, I really liked this composition.  I was so drawn to the elements of the diagonal flag pole, the sun and the grey clouds that I completely ignored the bit of building interfering with the composition.

Remove elements that don’t look good in your scene

I realigned the iPhone camera to crop the building but kept the flag pole, clouds and sun.
